If you haven't fished the Florida Keys in the early summer, here are some things you might want to consider:

• Bring and wear sunscreen, a hat, and loose, bug- and sun-protective clothing.
• Bring and wear bug repellent. The noseeums are often out in the early morning and evening hours.
• Bring and drink water all day.
• The weather varies quite a bit. Check on the current forecast at Weather Underground or the NOAA Keys weather slide show before you pack.
